Simon Bond Miscellaneous Foggy Day in London Town A foggy day in London town had me low, had me down. I viewed the morning with alarm. the British museum had lost its charm. How long I wondered could this thing last, the age of miracles hadn't passed, suddenly I saw you there and in foggy London town the sun was shining everywhere. We strolled the morning hand in hand, through Regents Park, along the Strand. the fog was just a fading memory, cos I was with you, and you with me. How long I wondered could this thing last, our love was new it happened all so fast The morning turned into afternoon the sunshine faded all too soon but out came (hold came) the Moon to lift the gloom. So we went to dinner and saw a show, we took the evening nice and slow The stars were glowing and so was she, I couldn't believe She'd chosen me. How long we lingered on the corner of a square, we kissed in the moonlight and I could swear I heard a nightingale singing there (instrumental clip from "Berkeley Square") and in Berkeley Square that night the Moon was shining everywhere. |
